Fishburne Military School Announces Cadet of the Month
Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl Teen Named Cadet of the Month at FMS

Waynesboro, VA – In recognition of his outstanding academic and military performance, Cadet Michael Manley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Manley, has been named Fishburne Military School’s Cadet of the Month for September 2019.

Manley, an eighth-grader from Ponte Verda Beach, Florida, is in his second year at Fishburne Military School. Manley was officially recognized as Cadet of the Month during a formation of the entire Corps of Cadets last Wednesday.

The announcement, which reads in part: “During the period of 1 September 2019 to 30 September 2019, Cadet Manley’s outstanding professional attitude and dedication to duty were instrumental in his selection as the Fishburne Military School’s Cadet of the Month. During this period Cadet Manley displayed superior enthusiasm and initiative in the performance of his duties and has shown dedication to upholding the values of the Corps of Cadets.”

In the announcement, FMS Commandant of Cadets, Sgt Maj Willy Carrion, USMC(ret), further noted: “Cadet Manley’s superb professionalism and devotion to duty reflect credit upon him and were in keeping with the highest traditions of Fishburne Military School.”

Cadet of the Month is selected by a board of Cadet Officers, and is approved by the Commandant of Cadets. A Fishburne Military School Cadet of the Month is selected based upon his academic, military and community achievements throughout the previous month.

Cadets earning Cadet of the Month enjoy special privileges including 10 Superintendent Merits, 10 Commandant Merits, one special meal and one Four Day Pass from 1830 Thursday to 1900 Monday.
